This review will look at the note-taking and handwriting performance of the Lenovo Precision Pen 3, name for global version and Lenovo Xiaoxin Pen 2, name for chinesse version, both pencils are the same model BTP-131.
The bottom line is that the pen is good for writing but not for drawing.
You can buy the pen on AliExpress with Chinese packaging or on Amazon with English packaging, but it is actually the same Lenovo Precision Pen 3, model BTP-131 .

Lenovo Precision Pen 3 Full Review
The stylus is included with the tablet in the US. However, whether the pen is included will depend on the region.
There is only one spare tip in the box. At the time of this review, replacement tips are not yet available.
The tip of the pen has a slight texture, but it shouldn’t wear down as quickly as it is quite smooth on the glass surface.
The cylindrical body has a matte textured surface and is comfortable to hold. Build quality is solid.
The pen supports tilt, 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and palm rejection . There is no mention of Wacom AES, which was used in the previous second generation pen.
There is no movement in the tip of the pen while writing.
The pen connects to the back of the tablet for charging and Bluetooth pairing. Battery life is estimated at 15 hours. A 15 minute charge will give you 25% battery life.
Due to the pen’s charging and pairing mechanism, this pen is not compatible with older Lenovo tablets. Even if you can pair the pen with other tablets, which is not possible, you will not be able to charge the pen’s battery.
Since the Lenovo P12 Pro has a laminated screen, there is no gap between the tip of the pen and the line below it.
The stylus provides the default palm rejection and works reasonably well. You can get perfect palm rejection with apps that only accept pen input for writing or drawing.
However, depending on the angle at which you hold the pen, the cursor may drift: the cursor will move away from the contact point. Holding the pen at 45 degrees works fine, but anything lower or closer to the screen will create cursor drift.
The pencil lines suffer a noticeable vibration or oscillation and this negatively affects the drawing.
Writing performance is not affected by vibration or oscillation. When writing, we write quickly and the lines are smoother and straighter. There will be rare occasions when you may notice restlessness, but it is rare.
The app shown above is Wacom Bamboo Paper . There is a strict palm rejection mode available and pressure sensitivity support.
This app is Inkredible Pro and does not support pressure. The thin and thick lines you see are handwriting styles applied by the software and they look pretty good.
Both Wacom Bamboo Paper and Inkredible Pro can capture my handwriting quite accurately.
Although the Lenovo P12 Pro has a 120Hz display, most apps still run at 60Hz. I don’t really notice the latency while typing.
My writing wasn’t captured as well with Microsoft OneNote. There seems to be more randomness. There is also the common MS OneNote problem of the text glowing before it sets on the paper.
These are the five pen functions provided by Lenovo. You can access these shortcuts by pressing the side button on the pen or by tapping the shortcut icon.
This is what you can do:
- Quick Notes: Note-taking functionality is extremely limited, so it’s best to use your favorite note-taking app.
- Screenshot: You can take partial or full screenshots.
- Laser Pointer: Turns the cursor into a big red ball with test. This is useful in presentations to show others where you are aiming.
- Magnifying Glass: Magnifies an area to see things bigger
- Camera Scanner: Take pictures of objects, correct perspective to remove distortion

Podrías decirme si este Pen, Lenovo 3 es o puede ser compatible con la tablet Xiaomi pad 6.
De no ser así, me puedes indicar que lápices son compatibles con esta tablet, a parte del de su marca ?
Muchas gracias
